When using your comb or brush to groom your cat, it is important to be gentle yet firm and only brush in the direction of the hair growth.

As most cats generally do not submerge themselves in water and do not really like water, you will have to try to introduce your cat to water when she is young. That way you can bathe your cat occasionally with a cat shampoo and your cat will not get too distressed. It is a good idea to buy eye drops to place in your cat’s eyes before bathing to prevent any shampoo from getting into her eyes. It is important not to get any water in your cat’s ears so do not pour water directly over your cat’s head.
